Our Facilities

We have our main office in Huntington Village on Long Island and use a satellite office in the Bronx. While we love our office, our location matters less because we come to our clients. If after a telephone screening, we accept a case, we will meet with you in your home or at a location and time that is convenient for you. After all, we work for you so we should travel to meet you.

Our Home Office: The Carll House at 79 Wall Street in Huntington Village, NY

The Schlitt Law Firm Huntington NY

Our home office is literally a home converted into office space. Known as the Carll House, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The oldest section of the house was built in 1820 and a west wing added in 1840. Today, the two wings fit together nicely as a two story building with a stone basement.

We were fortunate to have a young and brilliant architect, Ascher Booth, design our workspace. He gifted us with an environment that is productive, meaningful and enjoyable. We relied on local craftsmen to make Ascher’s vision a reality, including Bob’s Handyman service (kudos to Bob Davis), KMR Painting (thanks to Kevin Ryan) and IMS Online, whose workers pulled cables through our 170 year old building to make the technology go.

We use an open plan arrangement where all team members work side by side, a layout that fosters teamwork, communication and energy. We are an egalitarian organization where title and job description take a back seat to great ideas. No need for private offices, though we offer private space for personal work and feature a small and large conference room for client meetings.

We welcome you to stop by and say hello. We display artwork from local artists on the wall and rely on a homey kitchen to keep us fueled as we work. Come ring the bell – a ship’s bell nabbed in a salvage yard – that we ring when we get good news or achieve good work. We love to ring that bell.

Situated in Huntington Village, the Carll House gives easy access to clients and visitors and keeps us connected with the lively village.
